The Anthem approach

A missing tooth is more than a cosmetic gap — neighboring teeth drift, bites collapse, and chewing shifts to overworked areas. A bridge closes that gap with lifelike porcelain, anchored securely to the teeth or implants beside it.

Every bridge we place is custom-shaded and contoured so the replacement tooth emerges from the gumline as convincingly as the original did.

A traditional bridge anchors to crowned teeth on either side of the gap, while an implant-supported bridge anchors to one or more implants instead — sparing the neighboring teeth from being reshaped. We'll walk you through both, along with how each compares to a standalone implant, once we've evaluated the gap and the health of the teeth around it.

  • Fixed in place — no removal, no adhesives
  • Restores chewing and speech immediately
  • Prevents drifting and bite collapse
  • Implant-supported options that preserve neighboring teeth

FAQ

Dental Bridges — your questions, answered.

How long does a dental bridge last?

10–15 years on average, often longer with good hygiene — especially cleaning under the bridge with floss threaders or a water flosser.

Bridge or implant — which is better?

Implants preserve neighboring teeth and bone and last longer; bridges are faster and avoid surgery. We'll lay out both honestly for your situation.

Does getting a bridge hurt?

No — preparation is done under complete local anesthesia, and most patients adapt to the finished bridge within days.

How do I clean under a dental bridge?

Because the replacement tooth sits just above the gum, you clean beneath it with a floss threader or a water flosser. It takes an extra moment a day and is the single biggest factor in how long a bridge lasts.

What types of bridges are there?

Traditional bridges anchor to a crowned tooth on each side of the gap; implant-supported bridges anchor to implants instead, sparing the neighboring teeth. We recommend based on the gap and the health of the teeth around it.

Will a bridge change how I eat or speak?

It restores both. A missing tooth shifts chewing and can affect certain sounds; a well-fitted bridge brings them back, and most patients adjust within a few days.

Does insurance cover a dental bridge?

Most PPO plans cover part of the cost of a bridge to replace a missing tooth. We verify your benefits and give you a clear estimate before treatment begins.

What to expect before you book

If you have not been to one of our offices before, what happens at a first visit walks through the whole appointment step by step — what we look at, what it costs, and what we will never do without telling you first. Walk-ins are welcome at every office, though calling ahead means less waiting.

Dental Bridges is performed in-house, so nothing here is referred out to a stranger across town. Meet the team who would be treating you, and read how the practice works if you want the fuller picture. We are in-network with the major PPO plans and also accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) and IEHP — see the full list and what it means for your bill.

Choose whichever office is easiest for you: all 3 are here, each with its own hours, parking and directions.
