How dental coverage works for IEHP members
IEHP (Inland Empire Health Plan) is a Medi-Cal health plan for Riverside and San Bernardino counties. For IEHP's Medi-Cal members, dental care itself is covered through the state's Medi-Cal Dental program — IEHP's own coverage page says so, and that you can get dental care at any Medi-Cal dentist in California by showing your Medi-Cal card. All three Anthem offices accept it.
Getting a ride to your appointment
IEHP's Medi-Cal benefits include round-trip transportation within Riverside and San Bernardino counties for Medi-Cal-covered dental visits. It is set up through IEHP's Transportation Department, and IEHP asks that rides for routine visits be scheduled at least five business days before your appointment. All three of our offices are in Riverside County.

- Menifee, Menifee Town Center — Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
- Temecula, off Overland Drive — Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
- Moreno Valley, in Canyon Springs — Monday 10 AM to 5 PM and Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM.
Children and teens on IEHP
Because IEHP members' dental care runs through Medi-Cal Dental, children follow that program's schedule. The state's 2025 member handbook lists checkups every six months for members under 21 and sealants for their permanent molars. It also describes EPSDT, which can cover additional medically necessary treatment for children and teens. Booking the next checkup before leaving each visit is the simplest way to stay on that schedule.
If you are in IEHP DualChoice
IEHP also offers a plan for people who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal. Dental benefits there can differ from standard Medi-Cal, so call before your visit and our front desk will confirm what applies to you.
Whatever your plan, bring your Medi-Cal card and photo ID. Coverage is confirmed before treatment, and anything that is not covered is explained — with the cost — before you decide.
