On a Saturday, call Menifee — it is the only one of the three open that day. On a weekday evening, Temecula stays open latest, until 7 PM. If you live closer to Riverside or Moreno Valley, the Canyon Springs office opens at 9 AM Tuesday through Friday, so an overnight toothache can often be looked at before lunch.
If it happens on a Sunday
None of our offices is open on Sunday. If the problem can wait, call first thing Monday — the offices opening earliest are listed above. If you have swelling that is spreading toward your eye or neck, a fever with tooth pain, trouble swallowing or breathing, or bleeding that will not stop with firm pressure, do not wait for Monday — go to the nearest emergency room.
What to have ready when you call
It speeds things up if you can tell the front desk which tooth is involved (upper or lower, left or right), when the problem started, whether there is swelling, and whether anything makes it better or worse. Mention any medications you take and whether you have had a reaction to anesthetic before. If you are covered by a PPO, Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal Dental) or IEHP, have your member card nearby so benefits can be checked while you are on the phone.
Every office handles emergencies in-house with Dr. Henry Abraham and the same team who see patients for cleanings, so the visit that relieves the pain can usually also be the visit where the longer-term plan is explained.

Is there an emergency dentist near me?
Yes. Anthem Dental treats dental emergencies at all three of our offices — Menifee, Temecula, and Moreno Valley. If you're in pain, call the office nearest you as early in the day as you can and we'll do our best to work you into the schedule.
Can I get a same-day emergency dental appointment?
We do our best to see patients in pain the same day, and walk-ins are welcome. Call as early as you can if you are able — it helps us work you into the schedule sooner.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe or worsening tooth pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, facial swelling, or a lost crown or filling that's causing pain all warrant calling us right away. When in doubt, call and we'll help you decide.
My tooth was knocked out — what should I do?
Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently without scrubbing, and if you can, place it back in the socket or keep it moist in milk or saliva. Then get to your nearest Anthem Dental office as quickly as possible — reimplantation works best within about 60 minutes.
How much does an emergency dental visit cost?
It depends on what's needed — the first priority is a focused exam and imaging to find the problem and get you out of pain. We are in-network with the major PPOs including Delta Dental, Aetna and Cigna. We also accept Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal Dental) and IEHP, and offer CareCredit and Sunbit financing.
