What Invisalign is — and why adults and teens choose it

Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-fabricated aligners to gradually move your teeth into place. Each aligner in the series is worn for one to two weeks before you move on to the next, gently shifting your smile step by step toward the final result mapped out at your consultation.

Because the aligners are clear and removable, most people won't notice you're in treatment — and you won't have to give up popcorn, corn on the cob, or your normal brushing and flossing routine. That combination of discretion and convenience is why Invisalign has become the preferred choice for image-conscious adults and busy teens alike.

Invisalign vs. braces

  • Clear and far less noticeable than metal brackets and wires
  • Removable for eating, brushing, and flossing — no special tools required
  • No metal to irritate cheeks or lips
  • Fewer in-office adjustment visits for most cases
  • Requires discipline to wear 20–22 hours a day — results depend on compliance

The process

Your Invisalign journey at Anthem Dental.

  1. A relaxed consultation where we discuss your goals and check candidacy

  2. A precise digital scan with our intraoral scanners — no messy impressions

  3. Your custom aligner schedule, worn 20–22 hours a day and switched every 1–2 weeks

  4. Retainers fitted at the end to protect your finished result

Are you a candidate?

Invisalign now handles most common alignment issues — crowding, spacing, and many bite problems — in both teens and adults. The only way to know for certain is a quick digital scan at your consultation, which shows us your bite in precise 3D detail and confirms whether Invisalign is the right fit before you commit to anything.

Financing your treatment

We are in-network with most major PPOs and separately accept Medi-Cal Dental and IEHP, and CareCredit and Sunbit financing are both available to spread the cost into manageable monthly payments. We'll walk through your exact numbers at your consultation, in writing, before you decide anything.

Choosing where to be treated

Aligner treatment is a series of visits — pick the office your calendar can keep

Clear aligner treatment is not one appointment. After the consultation and digital scan there are periodic progress checks over the months you are in treatment, and a retainer fitting at the end. The single biggest factor in finishing on schedule is wearing the aligners 20 to 22 hours a day; the second is making those check-ins. So the best office is usually the one whose hours line up with your week:

  • Menifee — the only office open on Saturday (Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM). A good fit for students and anyone whose weekdays are fully booked.
  • Temecula — open until 7 PM on weekdays (Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM). Check-ins can happen after work or school.
  • Moreno Valley — early starts at 9 AM Tuesday through Friday (Monday 10 AM to 5 PM and Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM). Useful for a visit before the workday begins.

Dr. Henry Abraham, an Invisalign® Preferred Provider, treats aligner patients at all three, with the same scanners and the same approach, so you can choose on convenience alone.

Is aligner treatment the right tool?

Aligners handle crowding, gaps and many bite problems in teens and adults. Some situations need something else first — active gum disease or untreated decay has to be addressed before teeth are moved, and some complex bite corrections are better suited to other orthodontic approaches. The consultation exists to answer that honestly: if aligners are not the right fit, you will hear so before you commit to anything.

What happens after the last aligner

Teeth tend to drift back toward where they started, especially in the first months after treatment. That is why every case ends with retainers, and why wearing them as instructed matters as much as wearing the aligners did.

FAQ

Invisalign — your questions, answered.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Cost depends on how much movement your smile needs and how long treatment takes. We'll give you an exact quote at your consultation, after a digital scan — and CareCredit and Sunbit financing are both available to spread payments over time.

Invisalign vs braces — which is right for me?

Both work by applying steady pressure to move teeth, and both can treat crowding, spacing, and many bite issues. Invisalign aligners are clear and removable, so there are no food restrictions and cleaning is simple; traditional braces stay on continuously and can't be removed for meals or photos. We'll walk through both honestly for your specific case.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most adult cases run 12–18 months; minor corrections can finish in as few as six. Your digital scan gives us a projected timeline before you commit to anything.

Does Invisalign hurt?

You'll feel gentle pressure for a day or two after switching to each new aligner in the series — that's a sign it's working, not a problem. Most patients find it noticeably more comfortable than traditional braces.

Am I a candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign now treats most crowding, spacing, and bite issues in teens and adults. A quick digital scan at your consultation will tell you definitively whether you're a candidate.

Do I need to wear a retainer after Invisalign?

Yes — like any orthodontic treatment, teeth will drift back without retention. We'll fit you for retainers as your last step so your finished result lasts.

Can teenagers get Invisalign, not just adults?

Yes. Invisalign works well for many teens once their adult teeth have come in, and compliance indicators help us (and parents) confirm the aligners are being worn as prescribed.

Is Invisalign available at all three Anthem Dental offices?

Yes — Invisalign is offered at our Menifee, Temecula, and Moreno Valley offices, all under Dr. Henry Abraham, an Invisalign® Preferred Provider. See the office nearest you below.
