It's very uncommon that you get a full hygiene assessment at your initial visit although it is definitely recommended and that's EXACTLY what I received here! Sandy the hygienist was AMAZING 😍 she was so gentle and caring and she has very welcoming fun personality! The staff at the office is so loving and kind and also very professional and effective. Bree who took my x-rays took them so quickly I hardly knew what was going on before she was done. Then she proceeded to take my intro oral photographs so quickly and efficiently she never needed to take any retakes and it was so quick I just can't say enough good things about the care I received there. Due to the care that I need my treatment needs to be pre-authorized through my insurance which they will do. Walking in is fine, but ringing ahead shortens the wait.
It helps to say which tooth hurts, whether hot or cold sets it off, whether anything is swollen, and what you have taken for it. If you are coming from work, mention the time you can get here, so the slot you are offered is one you can actually make. The call can be in English or Spanish.

A broken or cracked tooth — the first steps
- Rinse your mouth gently with warm water and save any pieces of tooth you can find.
- If there is bleeding, press a clean piece of gauze against the area for about ten minutes.
- A cold pack on the outside of the cheek helps limit swelling.
- An over-the-counter pain reliever, taken exactly as the label directs, can take the edge off while you arrange a visit. Do not place aspirin against the gum.
- Avoid biting on that side. A crack you cannot see can spread under pressure.
At the visit, digital X-rays and an intraoral camera show how deep the break goes — enamel only, into the inner layer, or down to the nerve — and that decides the repair: bonding for a small chip, a crown for a larger fracture, root canal therapy when the nerve is involved. You will see the images on screen and get a written estimate before anything begins.

The first appointment
The first visit is about finding the cause and stopping the pain. Digital X-rays and an intraoral camera put the tooth on a screen beside the chair, so you see the crack, the decay or the infection for yourself. Depending on what they show, the same appointment may be a filling or bonding repair, a temporary covering, the start of a root canal, or an extraction when a tooth cannot be saved.
Follow-ups after work
Longer repairs usually need another visit. A crown takes two appointments, and root canal treatment may need more than one. With appointments running into the early evening, those can be booked after work rather than instead of it.
