Planning a removal around school, work and the drive home
Wisdom-teeth questions often arrive at an awkward time of life: the last years of high school, the first years of college or a new job. Anthem Dental - Temecula keeps later hours than our other two offices — Mon–Fri 10 AM – 7 PM — so the consultation can usually happen after class or after work instead of in place of it.
Your exam is with Dr. Henry Abraham, who examines the teeth and reads the 3D scan with you. The removal happens in the same building, impacted teeth included, on a day the surgeon is scheduled in Temecula — nobody sends you to another practice for it. Parents calling on behalf of a son or daughter can talk it through with the front desk in English or Spanish.

Around the Temecula office
Reaching Overland Drive from Murrieta, Winchester and beyond
Anthem Dental - Temecula is off Overland Drive at 29049 Overland Dr, Suite C, Temecula. Temecula is bordered by Murrieta to the north and has three full interchanges on I-15, so patients from Murrieta and Wildomar usually come by the freeway. From Winchester, Winchester Road — State Route 79 — leaves I-15 in the north of the city and runs out through Winchester, a straight drive back home after a removal.
From Fallbrook, across the county line
Fallbrook is across the county line to the south, in San Diego County. Medi-Cal Dental is a statewide program, so it works here for Fallbrook residents; IEHP is a plan for Riverside and San Bernardino counties, so it is not usually the plan a Fallbrook family has. PPO plans are not tied to a county — the front desk will confirm we are in your plan's network.
Fitting it around the week
The office is open Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM. An evening slot is long enough for the consultation.
Questions worth asking at the consultation
- Which of my wisdom teeth need to come out now, and which can be watched?
- Is any tooth close to the nerve or the sinus on the 3D scan?
- Will the removal be simple or surgical for each tooth?
- Would IV sedation make sense for me, and what would I need to arrange?
- What will my insurance cover, and what is the written estimate for the rest?
If something worries you on a Saturday after your removal, Anthem's Menifee office sees patients that day. For a sudden problem on a weekday, see the Temecula emergency dentist page.
Simple or surgical: what the scan decides
A wisdom tooth that has come fully through the gum can often be removed much like any other back tooth. One that is still under the gum, tilted against the tooth in front of it, or held in bone needs a surgical removal, in which the tooth is reached through a small opening and sometimes taken out in pieces. The 3D scan shows which kind each tooth is before the day of treatment, so the appointment length, the numbing and any sedation are planned rather than improvised.
FAQ
Wisdom teeth in Temecula — your questions, answered.
Can the consultation be after school or work?
Usually, yes. The Temecula office is open Mon–Fri 10 AM – 7 PM, and a consultation is an exam, imaging and a conversation, which fits into an early-evening slot.
Which day of the week is best for the removal?
The Temecula office is closed on weekends, so an early-week removal is worth considering: the first days of healing then fall on days the office is open and answering the phone.
Where do I park, and can my driver wait?
Free parking throughout the plaza lot, with accessible spaces near Suite C. A driver can wait in the lot or in the waiting room.
Does insurance help with wisdom teeth removal?
Often, at least in part, especially when a tooth is impacted or causing problems. The front desk checks your plan's benefits before the removal is booked and gives you a written estimate; CareCredit and Sunbit are available for the rest.
