One office from the first X-ray to the last check-up

A wisdom tooth that aches when you chew, a swollen flap of gum at the back of the jaw, or an X-ray that shows a tooth coming in sideways: at Anthem Dental Menifee each of these starts the same way, with an exam by Dr. Henry Abraham. Your exam is with Dr. Henry Abraham.

If the teeth need to come out, they come out here. Our visiting oral surgeon removes wisdom teeth in-house at Menifee, including teeth that are impacted under the gum or bone, so you are not handed a referral slip and sent to find another practice. The front desk books your removal for a day the surgeon is at the office and tells you what to arrange beforehand — in English or Spanish, both spoken at the front desk every day the office is open.

The day of your removal

Getting to Menifee Town Center, and getting home again

The surgeon's visits to Anthem Dental Menifee set the date of the removal itself; the front desk offers you the next ones when you book. Everything before that — the exam, the 3D scan and the conversation about which teeth need to go — is with Dr. Henry Abraham, and can be booked on Saturday too (10 AM to 6 PM).

If you are having IV sedation

IV sedation is available for wisdom teeth removal, and if you choose it you cannot drive yourself home. Arrange an adult to bring you, wait for you and stay with you for the rest of the day. The office is at 30145 Antelope Road, Suite 105, Menifee, and a driver can wait in the car or in reception.

Coming in from around Menifee

Menifee's main routes are Interstate 215 and Newport Road, so patients from Sun City, Romoland and Perris usually arrive along the freeway. From Canyon Lake, Railroad Canyon Road is the main public road into Menifee.

A short list for the day before

  • Stock the kitchen with soft, cool food: yogurt, soup that has cooled, eggs, mashed potatoes.
  • Fill any prescription you were given ahead of time, so nobody has to find a pharmacy afterwards.
  • Follow the eating and drinking instructions you were given if you are having sedation.
  • Put a cold pack in the freezer and a spare pillow by the bed so your head can rest raised.
  • Keep the office number handy: (951) 302-9300.

A weekend inside the first week

Because the Menifee office sees patients on Saturday, a removal late in the week still leaves a day when you can call or be seen if something worries you — more bleeding than expected, pain that is getting worse instead of better, or a bad taste that suggests a dry socket. The office is closed on Sunday; for swelling that spreads toward the eye or neck, or any trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest emergency room. For a sudden problem with any tooth, see the Menifee emergency dentist page.

The removal, briefly

A 3D cone-beam scan shows how each wisdom tooth sits: how deep it is, which way it is angled, and how close its roots come to the nerve in the lower jaw or the sinus above the upper teeth. That picture decides whether a tooth can be lifted out whole or has to be removed in sections, and whether all four should come out in one visit or only the ones causing trouble. The area is numbed completely before anything begins, and you leave with written aftercare for the first days of healing.

FAQ

Wisdom teeth in Menifee — your questions, answered.

Can I get my wisdom teeth checked on a Saturday in Menifee?

Yes. New-patient exams can be booked on Saturdays at the Menifee office (Mon–Sat 10 AM – 6 PM), so the first look — the exam and the X-rays — does not have to cost you a weekday. The removal itself is then booked for a day our visiting oral surgeon is here.

Is there parking close to the door for the drive home?

Free parking throughout the Menifee Town Center lot, with accessible spaces near Suite 105. If you have IV sedation you will need an adult to drive you home, so it helps that they can wait nearby and pull up close to Suite 105.

What if something feels wrong over the weekend after my removal?

Call the office. Menifee sees patients on Saturdays, including emergency visits, so a worry on the first weekend of healing can be looked at rather than waited out.

Is IV sedation available for wisdom teeth removal in Menifee?

IV sedation is offered at all three Anthem offices, including Menifee. Whether it suits you is decided at your consultation, after a review of your health history and medications.
