An early start, a short trip home, and one office for all of it

Anthem Dental – Moreno Valley opens at 9 AM from Tuesday to Friday, the earliest start of any Anthem office. For a wisdom tooth that kept you up overnight, that means an exam and X-rays can often happen before the morning is out. Your exam is with Dr. Henry Abraham.

The building is on Canyon Springs Parkway in Riverside, in the Canyon Springs district at the southeast corner of the State Route 60 and I-215 junction, and the 60 runs straight on into Moreno Valley. Removal happens right here too, impacted teeth included, and the date can be arranged with the front desk in English or Spanish.

“Brought my mom here for dental care and tooth extraction. Everyone was very pleasant and very professional. Extraction was painless and clean. Will be making this her main dental office.”

Around Canyon Springs

Freeway access, errands nearby, and the days after

The office is at 2712 Canyon Springs Pkwy, Suite 3, Riverside, in the Canyon Springs district that the City of Riverside planned at the far eastern edge of the city. The city's plan routes traffic in from two freeway interchanges: Day Street on State Route 60, and Eucalyptus Avenue on I-215. From Moreno Valley, the 60 is the direct way in; from Canyon Springs itself, the office is a short local drive.

The same plan groups shops, restaurants and offices inside the district, which is useful on removal day: whoever drives you can run errands nearby while you are being treated, and pick up something soft for you to eat that evening on the way home. Free parking throughout the Canyon Springs plaza lot, with accessible spaces near Suite 3.

When to book

  • Monday — 10 AM to 5 PM
  • Tuesday — 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Wednesday — 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Thursday — 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Friday — 9 AM to 5 PM

The office is closed on weekends. The consultation can be booked on any of them. Once the removal date is set around the surgeon's schedule, keep the following couple of days quiet.

Getting here with IEHP

If you have IEHP and no ride, IEHP's Medi-Cal benefits include round-trip transportation within Riverside and San Bernardino counties for Medi-Cal-covered dental visits. Book the appointment with us, then call IEHP's Transportation Department with the date, the time and our address — for a routine visit, at least five business days ahead. If you are having IV sedation, check with the front desk about what kind of ride home you will need.

Signs to call about

  • Bleeding that keeps soaking through gauze after firm pressure.
  • Pain that eases and then gets worse a few days later, sometimes with a bad taste — a possible dry socket.
  • Swelling that keeps growing after the first couple of days, or a fever.
  • Numbness in the lip or tongue that has not worn off by the next day.

For swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, or any trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the emergency room. For a sudden problem with any tooth, see the Moreno Valley emergency dentist page.

What the first week looks like

Removal day itself is usually the shortest part: the area is numbed, the teeth are taken out as the 3D scan planned, and you rest at home that afternoon. The next few days are about protecting the blood clot in each socket — soft, cool food, no straws, no smoking and no hard rinsing — while swelling rises and then settles. A cold pack on the cheek helps early on. Most people plan a few quiet days, and a follow-up visit checks that everything is closing as it should.
