Using Medi-Cal Dental or IEHP for your child's visit
If your child is covered by Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) or IEHP, both are accepted at Anthem Dental – Moreno Valley. A few things the state's Medi-Cal Dental member handbook makes clear are worth knowing before the first appointment:
- There is no separate application for dental: a child with Medi-Cal already has Medi-Cal Dental.
- Bring the child's Benefits Identification Card (BIC) and a photo ID.
- Members can choose any Medi-Cal dental provider — you do not need a referral to come here.
- The dental office tells you what is and isn't covered before treatment, so ask whenever you are unsure.
- If you need to cancel, call at least one day ahead.

Helping at home between visits

IEHP's Medi-Cal benefits include round-trip transportation within Riverside and San Bernardino counties for Medi-Cal-covered dental visits. Book the appointment first, then call IEHP's Transportation Department at least five business days ahead for a routine visit.
