The Anthem approach
A filling shouldn't announce itself every time you laugh. Our composite fillings are precisely shade-matched to your enamel, bond directly to the tooth for added strength, and contain no metal or mercury.
We also replace old silver amalgam fillings for patients who want a seamless, uniform smile — often revealing healthier margins in the process.
Because composite bonds directly to the tooth rather than simply filling a mechanically-cut cavity, treating decay early with a composite filling typically preserves more of your natural tooth structure than an old-style metal filling would need to remove — one more reason routine exams matter.
- Invisible, precise shade match
- Mercury-free and metal-free
- Bonds to strengthen the remaining tooth
- Preserves more natural tooth than metal fillings

FAQ
Composite Fillings — your questions, answered.
How long do composite fillings last?
Typically 7–10 years or longer with good hygiene — comparable to metal fillings, without the appearance.
Should I replace my old silver fillings?
If they're intact and healthy, not necessarily. If they're worn, cracked, or you'd simply prefer a uniform look, we can replace them safely and cleanly.
Will my tooth be sensitive afterward?
Mild temperature sensitivity for a few days is normal and fades. Anything persistent, call us — we'll adjust the bite, which usually solves it.
What does a composite filling cost?
It depends on the size and location of the cavity, and on your insurance. We verify your benefits and give you a clear written estimate before any treatment begins, and CareCredit and Sunbit financing are both available.
Can I get multiple fillings done in one visit?
Often, yes — many patients have several small-to-moderate fillings completed in a single appointment, which we'll confirm once we know how many teeth are involved and how extensive the decay is. For a larger number of fillings, we may recommend spreading treatment across a couple of visits for your comfort.
How does composite compare to metal fillings for strength and longevity?
Composite bonds directly to the tooth, which adds structural support that a metal filling — simply held in place mechanically — doesn't provide. Well-placed composite fillings hold up comparably to metal fillings for most patients, with the added benefit of blending in with your natural tooth color.

What to expect before you book
If you have not been to one of our offices before, what happens at a first visit walks through the whole appointment step by step — what we look at, what it costs, and what we will never do without telling you first. Walk-ins are welcome at every office, though calling ahead means less waiting.
Composite Fillings is performed in-house, so nothing here is referred out to a stranger across town. Meet the team who would be treating you, and read how the practice works if you want the fuller picture. We are in-network with the major PPO plans and also accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) and IEHP — see the full list and what it means for your bill.
Choose whichever office is easiest for you: all 3 are here, each with its own hours, parking and directions.
