The Anthem approach

A crown should be indistinguishable from the tooth beside it. Ours are all-porcelain, custom-shaded, and shaped to your bite — restoring full strength to a damaged tooth while looking like it was never touched.

We take digital impressions rather than the old tray of putty, so there's no goop and no gagging. Your crown is then crafted to those measurements and fitted at a second visit, with a temporary protecting the tooth in between.

Because a crown covers the whole tooth, it's the go-to fix when a filling would leave too little healthy structure behind — after a large fracture, a root canal, or years of wear — restoring both strength and appearance in one restoration.

  • All-porcelain, metal-free aesthetics
  • Digital impressions — no goop, no gagging
  • Restores full chewing strength

FAQ

Porcelain Crowns — your questions, answered.

How long do porcelain crowns last?

10–15 years and often much longer with good hygiene and routine checkups.

When is a crown needed instead of a filling?

When a tooth is cracked, heavily filled, root-canal treated, or too damaged for a filling to restore its strength — a crown protects what remains.

Does getting a crown hurt?

No — the tooth is completely numbed during preparation. Some mild sensitivity afterward is normal and settles within a few days.

How many visits does a crown take?

Two. At the first we prepare the tooth, take a digital impression, and fit a temporary crown. At the second we bond the finished porcelain crown and adjust it to your bite.

Will the crown match my other teeth?

Yes. Each crown is custom-shaded and shaped to blend with the teeth around it, so it looks like the tooth was never touched.

How do I care for a crown?

Brush and floss it like a natural tooth. The crown itself can't decay, but the natural tooth beneath it can at the margin — so daily hygiene and routine checkups are what keep it lasting.

What's the difference between a crown and a veneer?

A crown covers the entire tooth and restores its strength, which is why it's used for damaged or weakened teeth. A veneer covers just the front surface and is purely cosmetic. We'll recommend whichever fits your tooth and your goals.

What to expect before you book

If you have not been to one of our offices before, what happens at a first visit walks through the whole appointment step by step — what we look at, what it costs, and what we will never do without telling you first. Walk-ins are welcome at every office, though calling ahead means less waiting.

Porcelain Crowns is performed in-house, so nothing here is referred out to a stranger across town. Meet the team who would be treating you, and read how the practice works if you want the fuller picture. We are in-network with the major PPO plans and also accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) and IEHP — see the full list and what it means for your bill.

Choose whichever office is easiest for you: all 3 are here, each with its own hours, parking and directions.
