If you have just been approved for Medi-Cal, you probably already have dental benefits — the state's member handbook says most people who qualify for Medi-Cal do, and that you do not need to apply separately. Three steps

A note on the card itself
The handbook is clear that having a BIC does not by itself guarantee you are currently eligible — eligibility is set by your county social services office. That is why we check eligibility at every visit, before treatment, so any problem surfaces early.
